Where to look

The bell in the feed opens the list. New notifications are marked “Unread”. The “Mark all as read” button clears them at once.

What kinds there are

  • A match, a new message, a new application, an answer to an application.
  • A new animal from an account you follow.
  • A follow request to your closed profile and the answer to it.
  • All deal stages: proposed, accepted, completed, cancelled, report, review outcome; a review.
  • An animal’s photo check: the profile appeared in the feed, or the photo needs replacing.
  • A message from moderation.
  • Profile verification finished (the “Verified” badge).
  • The welcome bonus credited (personal account).
  • The account was scheduled for deletion (deletion).

If an item has already been deleted, the app says “No longer available”.

Notification settings

In “Settings”, in the “Notifications” block, you choose what to be told about: new applications, answers to my applications, new matches, new messages. Channels: email (at most one letter an hour, only about things you have not seen yet, never with chat text) and browser notifications on this device. Browser notifications are available only where the service and your browser support them. On iPhone and iPad they work once PetMate is added to the Home Screen.
