Deals: agreed, completed, cancelled
How to mark in the chat that you have agreed, confirm the handover of an animal, cancel a deal or report a problem.
Why it matters
Marking a deal keeps a record, unlocks reviews and adds a successful deal to your profile counter. It does not process payments: those happen outside PetMate.
Steps
- In the chat tap “We’ve agreed”. Your counterpart receives a deal proposal.
- They tap “Accept” or “Decline”. You can “Withdraw” the proposal while it is unanswered.
- If the deal is accepted, it gets the status “Agreed”.
- When the animal has been handed over (or the mating is done), each side taps “Completed” and confirms: “Yes, it took place”. Confirm only if it is true.
- When both sides have confirmed, the deal gets the status “Completed” and you can leave a review.
See all your deals under “Profile” → “My deals”. You can filter them by status and type.
Statuses
“Waiting for an answer”, “Agreed”, “Completed”, “Cancelled”, “Complaint open”, “Expired”. “Expired” appears when a proposal goes unanswered for 7 days.
Cancelling
- The “Ask to cancel” button: your counterpart can “Agree to cancel” or “Decline cancellation”. While a request is open, the deal cannot be confirmed.
- Cancelling after “Completed” is possible only for rehoming, by mutual consent and within 3 days (the app shows the exact time). The animal then returns to its previous owner. A completed breeding deal cannot be cancelled.
Reporting a deal
Tap “Report”, choose a reason (for example “The deal did not take place”, “I suspect fraud” or “The animal’s condition differs from what was said”) and describe the situation. Moderators review the deal and the conversation. Your counterpart can see that a report has been filed. While a report is being reviewed, the deal does not count towards the counter and no review can be left. A completed deal can also be reported only within 3 days.
Important. After a completed rehoming, the animal passes to the new owner with the status “Personal pet”.
