What you need

A published profile of your animal with the purpose “Looking for a mate”: species dog or cat, a breed and a sex.

Steps

  1. In the feed, switch to “Breeding”.
  2. Choose which pet you are looking for a mate for. Matching is done for that animal.
  3. Swipe through the cards. The “Want as a mate” heart is a like; the cross skips.
  4. If the like is mutual, the “It’s a match!” window opens. Tap “Write a message” or “Keep browsing”.
  5. Agree on terms in the chat. When the mating is done, mark the deal.

Matching rules

  • You see animals of the same species and the opposite sex.
  • By default, of the same breed. If you turn on “Also show other breeds and mixed”, the results become wider.
  • You cannot like without your own profile: the app suggests adding a pet.
  • A chat opens only on a mutual like.

Terms in the profile

A breeding profile can state a “Stud fee” or the “A puppy for the stud” option (instead of money), documents (veterinary passport, pedigree, disease tests, health certificate), titles and requirements for the mate.

Important. PetMate does not accept money for breeding and takes no part in payments. The price in a profile is the owner’s information: the service does not check or guarantee it.
