The “Verified” badge
What the badge means, who can get it and how the check works. The badge is not a guarantee.
What the badge means
The administration checked the details you sent, at the time of the check. People see the badge on your profile and on all your animals. Shelters carry the note “Verified shelter” in the feed.
Important. The badge does not guarantee the animal’s health, breed, living conditions, the legality of activity or good faith. The administration is not responsible for the badge holder’s later actions. The badge can be removed.
Who can get the badge
Shelters, kennels and breeders.
How it works
- The PetMate team grants the badge after a review. There is no application form in the app. How to reach us is described on the Contact and support page.
- A separate secure service chat opens with you, visible only to you and the administration.
- You may be asked for documents (identity; for an organisation, the organisation’s documents) and, if needed, a photo or video. Send only what was requested.
- The result is “confirmed” or “declined”. You get the notification “Your verification has a decision”.
- After the check, the service chat and all files you sent are fully deleted from the servers and the app. Only the fact of the check remains: who checked, when, the type of document and, for an organisation, the OGRN and INN.
